The South East Asian region contains the Riverina’s biggest citrus markets. Increasing quantities of fresh fruit are being freighted to Hong Kong, Japan, the United States and New Zealand. Navels are predominantly exported. The navel fruit is prized by its consumers for its colour, quality, taste and seedless characteristics. The Navel has both Winter and Summer varieties. Almost 65% of the regions Valencia crop is used to make quality fresh juice, which is enjoyed by consumers both within Australia and overseas.
